The City of Saint Jo is a historical town within the state of Texas. In the old west ranchers would drive their cattle along the chisholm trail to sell them in Abilene Kansas. The City of Saint Jo originally named Head of Elm., was the last town for these ranchers before Red River Station right as you crossed into indian territory. This city has a rich history that can be seen at the Stonewall Saloon Muesem on Saint Jo's historic square.
It is the mission of the Saint Jo Police Department to offer the highest level of service possible to it's citizens. Community safety is our number one priority. All Police Officer's within this Department are to adhere to the Law Enforcement Code of Ethics as it should be the standard of all Police Officers. We will strive to help the citizens in any way possible in order to remain a safe community.

Whatever we see or hear of a confidential nature or that is confided to us in our official capacity will be kept ever secret unless revelation is necessary in the performance of our duty.
We will never act officiously or permit personal feelings, prejudices, animosities, or friendships to influence our decisions. With no compromise for crime and with relentless prosecution of criminals, We will enforce the law courteously and appropriately without fear or favor, malice or ill will, never employing unnecessary force or violence and never accepting gratuities.
We recognize the badge of our office as a symbol of public faith, and We accept it as a public trust to be held so long as We are true to the ethics of the police service. We will constantly strive to achieve these objectives and ideals, dedicating ourselves before God to our chosen profession - Law Enforcement.
